Jonathan Halls Professional biography

Jonathan Halls is an active member of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD).  He’s held a number of official responsibilities and spoken at its flagship conference several times. 

Jonathan is a member of the Program Committee for the next ASTD Annual Conference in Atlanta 2007.  It's the biggest learning event in the world.  (Scroll down for more details.)

Halls was also the founding president of ASTD's Global Network in the United Kingdom which he set up and led for 3 years.  It provided regular meetings and learning exchanges for UK learning executives and practitioners.

Passionate about helping people learn, Jonathan's involvement in the world's biggest association of workplace learning professionals adds a pragmatic focus to his academic qualifications.

It ensures he is up with the latest trends in organizational learning and performance improvement.  As well as the latest techniques for helping people learn.

The world's biggest society of learners

The ASTD is the biggest society in the world dedicated to workplace learning and performance.  With 70,000 members from around the world, the society conducts research and runs conferences throughout the world. 

The flagship conference is its annual International Conference and Expo which attracts upwards of 8,000 people each year. 

People travel from 76 different countries to hear influential keynote speakers and attend many of the 250 leading edge learning sessions on workplace learning and development.  Influential keynotes have included Rudi Guiliani, Marcus Buckingham and Jack Welch. 

Jonathan is currently on the Program Advisory Committee of the conference, an honor he is very proud of.  He is working with a team of leading experts on learning from around the globe to to review speaking proposals for the ASTD conference in 2007, to be held in Atlanta, GA.  Jonathan's focus is reviewing the proposals in the leadership track.
